Accommodation
- The tent is furnished with a double bed and two singles however additional beds can be added for larger groups or families (sleeping up to a maximum of ten).
- All bedding and towels provided.
- Outside there is a table + chairs and a fire pit.
- Glamping guests have use of an exclusive private area.
Facilities
- Visitors will have use of private solar/electric shower and compost toilet.
- We have tried to do everything as ethically and environmentally sound as possible.
- There is an internal stove to enable constant heat and some cooking indoors.
- There is also an external fire pit and cooking facilities.

Now this is my kind of camping! 😃
Glamping at the Old Manor, Carnoustie is a treat by any standards. It has the privacy of your own walled site…tent and outdoor seated area is decked and looks fab… particularly as it’s lit with (solar powered) strings of lights that come on after dark!
Open the canvas doors to the tent to behold a double + 2 single beds, dressed to hotel standards, including towels! 😃 In the event of a rainy afternoon, or a chilly evening, the tent has a cute little wood burner, that produces amazing heat in minutes.
An eco-friendly compost loo is just a few steps away from the tent; hot shower a few steps farther on, in a sheltered area adjoining a kitchenette – which is powered and stocked with electric kettle, cooker, fridge + courtesy supplies!
If you’re not impressed enough yet, add in a highly entertaining and hospitable hostess, Lynn, whose attention to detail is second to none. The attractive coastal town of Carnoustie is within walking distance, with it’s supermarket, restaurants, take aways, pubs and cafes…golf option nearby…fab hikes no distance away. (We were there during Covid times, so we didn’t get the full value of specific places in town.)
We will definitely be back again tho, to enjoy the hospitality of the town, and to revisit our fab glamping experience – the bar is high! I truly couldn’t recommend the Old Manor @ Carnoustie any higher! Top class!

Three of us has the enormous pleasure of staying on the Glamping site at the old Manor. The site was absolutely fabulous, with all the facilities you could wish for, Shower, fully equipped Kitchen, Toilet and then the bell tent with a wood burning stove when the weather was not playing ball. Beautiful beds with fresh towels and everything thing we could possibly need.
For me this was hotel luxury but nicer than a hotel. Lynn the owner was so thoughtful and had left us extra treats when we arrived. The whole experience was so lovely and the the surrounding walks to the beach in Carnoustie on your doorstep. We shall definitely return – A gem of a find in Carnoustie.
